The Vaughn Wyant Automotive Group truly began with the
purchase of Jubilee Ford in Saskatoon, in November 1983. Vaughn Wyant returned
to his hometown after refining both sales and management/ownership skills in
Vancouver, BC and then Carstairs, Alberta.
Vaughn's aggressive marketing
approach took Saskatoon by storm in the early '80's and set the tone for what
would become the strength of his business reputation. In the twenty-five years
that have passed, he has established in both Saskatchewan and British Columbia a
valid and valuable business model based upon "honesty of practice, care for
customers and employees alike and essential support for community."
In
1995 Vaughn purchased Golden Ears Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Maple Ridge, BC,
followed by Saskatchewan's Jaguar franchise in 1994. To follow came both Volvo
and Land Rover for Saskatchewan, in 1996 and 2002 respectively.
In 2001,
Mitsubishi arrived in Canada and Vaughn believed that this superlative Japanese
automaker deserved a place in northern Saskatchewan.
Somewhere in the
midst, Vaughn developed Spiffy Express Lube/Carwash/Doggie Wash as a further
enhancement to his automotive interests and Spiffy has recently become the only
Mobil1 Lube Express in Western Canada.
As the Saskatchewan segment of
VWAG was growing, there arose the opportunity for growth into the interior of
British Columbia. Kelowna Volvo and Kelowna Hyundai were added in 2005 and
Vernon Hyundai and Hilltop Subaru in 2008.
Meanwhile, back in Saskatoon,
Vaughn's love for premium automobiles was the impetus for purchase of
Mercedes-Benz/smart car for northern Saskatchewan. And, finally (or is it?)
Vaughn has added the exciting Audi brand to his collection, providing for a
growing demand in the province for these automobiles.
It's been a big
journey since 1983 but somehow time has flown by as the Vaughn Wyant Automotive
Group continues to refine, improve and... yes... grow!
Stay tuned!
